My daughter and I have bought all of these "Sammy" books and love them. With the exception of this one. It depicts Santa caught on fire in a chimney, running around covered in flames. My newly turned 5 year old was quite upset and burst into tears. - stop drop and roll wasnt the concept any of us picked up. Maybe rewrite it so Santa got stuck or non-violently twisted his ankle with the same outcome?

I picked 5 stars because my 5 year old son loves these bird books. He is always laughing at the silly bird. Great bed time stories.
The kids loved reading this. It was interactive and they willingly participated. It could be a good classroom book. The bird is so cute.

The scene with Santa bandaged head-to-toe in what looks like traction on the couch and the silly bird saying, "I only lit the fireplace so you could see better," cracked me up. Granted, I was stoned and my two-year-old didn't quite get it, but I was laughing. Thanks!
